Everyday I talk with my friend Dan at work (he is a non runner, but a great friend), and everyday he asks me "what are you doing tonight", and I say how many miles I have to do that particular night. He said something that puzzled me "why does running run your life?" I have been on a couple of runs since that statement. Is it bad that running runs my life? You think the obvious answer to this question would be no, but it has made me think about some things. My wife Kimberly has said things along the same lines to me a couple of times. I love running it is my time to spend with myself think sometimes talk to myself (not in a crazy way), and I have a lot of energy that I need to expel or no one will want to be around me, but I am a very hyper focused human being, so once this object is in my head that is all I can think of. Don't think for a moment that I am going to quit running or anything like that. I just wanted to look at another persons point of view, or as I would like to say run in another person's shoes.

I don't think it runs your life. I just think it's an activity that allows you time for personal reflection and provides health benefits. I personally wish I had your motivation when it comes to running.
